Due to rapid onset of Guillain Barré Syndrome in early 2005, Dr. Layne was forced to cancel appearances for Spring 2005. His first appearance since the disease struck was at the IRA National Convention in May 2005. His calendar is now open for bookings again, although he is taking a reduced number of appearances per month for the 2005-2006 school year.
